FOOT (doctor in charge: Prof. E. Mouhsine)

Our expertise covers a very long experience of minimally invasive surgery for forefoot deformities (hallux valgus, hammer toes, etc.). Being among the first to use these techniques, we participated in the development of instruments to improve precision and surgical safety. Thus, we are currently able to offer minimally invasive treatments also in the rearfoot.

The diabetic foot benefits from interdisciplinary care: surgery, diabetology, infectiology, vascular as well as physiotherapy and occupational therapy.

We also provide the auxiliary means in depending on the pathology or treatment (shoes, supports,various splints,…).

Our medical team is qualified in wound care, therapeutic massage, reflexology and joint mobilization.

KNEE (doctor in charge: Dr H. Martin)

Our skills cover degenerative knee pathologies as well as their treatment by arthroscopy, osteotomy, prosthesis partial or total knee prosthesis depending on the degree progress of the degenerative process.

The prostheses are planned in 3D to ensure anatomical reconstruction of the knee and the lower limb. The reproducibility of this reconstruction is ensured by the use of personalized cutting guides for each patient in order to allow optimal surgical precision. For certain difficult situations, we are developing an individualized prosthesis concept in cooperation with our industrial partners.

Femur or tibia fractures are treated with the techniques the most modern fastening systems, possibly assisted by arthroscopy or minimally invasive surgery.

HIP (doctor in charge: Prof. M. Wettstein)

We specialize in conservative hip surgery in young patients without osteoarthritis and offer extensive experience in all surgical alternatives, depending on the individual situation of each patient: hip arthroscopy, femoral or pelvic osteotomies as well as surgical hip dislocation.

For patients with hip osteoarthritis, we offer a personalized support, both for prosthetic cases standard than complicated cases, with the aim of reconstructing the anatomy individual 3D hip using, if necessary, custom-made prostheses, implated by minimally invasive surgery. We also offer a long experience in
revisions and replacements of prostheses as well as in the complex reconstructions of the hip and pelvis.

In traumatology, we benefit from specific experience in the treatment of fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum as well as the femur.

ORTHOPEDIC ONCOLOGY (doctor in charge: Prof. E. Mouhsine)

Our expertise includes the comprehensive management of patients with musculoskeletal tumors, ranging from diagnosis (imaging and biopsy) to oncological and surgical treatment depending on the pathology: excision of the tumor and possible reconstruction of soft tissues, joints and bone.

We offer care in interdisciplinary collaboration with leading oncology, pathology, radiology and radiotherapy departments.
