Pneumology

The specialized science of the airways is central to the treatment of many pathological conditions. Our pulmonologists work together with specialists in other medical branches, such as Allergology, Ear-Nose-and-Throat, Neurology and Radiology, to make diagnoses and propose comprehensive treatments.  The pulmonologist relies on various special examinations: he or she may perform an endoscopy of the airways and take tissue samples. He or she may perform lung function tests or assessments of the patient's effort capacity (sports medicine). Sleep disorders and tobacco addiction are also treated.
